URSA MAJOR AND THE SLOW DECLINE

In a space where discontent and displacement seem to paralyze life, a strange and beautiful confirmation can take place.   I created Ursa Major during a crisis of heartache and homelessness.  I was washed out, severly depressed, and felt like I needed approval from outside sources way too much.  I needed to prove to myself that I can create and move forward in my life with self-trust, intuition, confidence, and power.  Very slowly, after the help of friends, Elizzy and Omar, I resurfaced from a crazy spiritual dungeon and I made this...

Ursa Major and the Slow Decline was a breathing effort to show up to my life and fight the good fight.   Using video, dirt, collected dead bees, wood, clay, bones and encaustic Ursa Major was a minimal show that served as an investigation of access to primal female power.
